Hermans was an amateur (and self-taught) painter, who mainly devoted himself to painting Dutch winter landscapes. He was known to be a follower of Louis Apol, who also favoured winter scenes. This work is similar to others Hermans painted (circa 1930), and is oil on board. Signed at the bottom right. The painting is professionally framed, but the frame has sustained some damage to one corner. Ideal for reframing. Dimensions of the work visible withing the frame are: 26 cm x 15 cm.
