A view of the buildings of the Vale of Health across the nearby pond. This the final state. Lettered within image at left with artist's name: "W. Strang, 1903"signed in pencil below image by engraver: "Wm Strang", and inscribed by David Strang with title and: "Final state (of 3) DS." Tipped in to white paper mount. 

The name Vale of Health refers to a delightful part of Hampstead Heath in London.

William Strang was a prominent Scottish etcher and painter. From 1918 he was president of the International Society of Sculptors, Painters, and Gravers. He was the father of David and Ian Strang.
